Said the Foyle MLA: “I have been working with the school over the last number of years around their accommodation and facilitated visits to the school with the Education Minister and his Permanent Secretary.
“The school has immediate accommodation and maintenance issues, which I am glad to see are now progressing.
“But for the longer term and future of the school, the school requires capital investment on the site.
“I am calling on the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS)to prioritise the needs of the school and support them in a successful application for school enhancement.
“I will continue to work with the school, Comhairle na gaelscolaíochta, CCMS and the Department of Education to bring about the capital investment required. The pupils and staff deserve a new school build and it is long overdue.
