She was speaking after she and party colleague Councillor Conor Heaney met with Clanmil Housing Association to discuss a number of issues raised by residents.
Said the Foyle MLA: “We arranged this meeting as follow up to a recent engagement with residents who made a number of requests relating to the cleaning, security and maintenance regime within the complex.
“Clanmil Housing Association have now committed to carrying out a deep clean across the apartments, improving the communal gardens and upgrading the video intercom system.
“There will also be further assessments of the security arrangements within the complex to ensure all measures are up to date and further engagement with the Glen Development Initiative to roll out a new activity programme for residents.
“I have written to residents to inform them of developments which I am sure will give them reassurance.”
