THE Department of Health has announced a further 113 Coronavirus cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a rise of 24 on figures given yesterday for Monday.
There has been no further deaths from the virus with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,148.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 644 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 21 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area in the past 24 hours, a fall of four on figures given for the previous 24 hours.
Over the past seven days there have been a further 139 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 12,461 positive cases within the council boundary – the fourth highest among all 11 councils in the North.
The rate of infection within the Derry and Strabane council area is now at 92.3 cases per 100,000, the highest in the North of Ireland.
The Department has recorded a total of 136 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all councils here.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is up to 104 per cent from 99 per cent.
There are currently 50 patients in hospital with Coronavirus.
Four patients are being treated in intensive care with four patients on ventilators.
Six care homes are now dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak, a rise of one this week, with a further 652 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
