SINN Féin MLA Karen Mullan has said the Health Minister must act to deliver more addiction and detox services in Derry.
Speaking after launching a billboard at Free Derry Corner with local campaigner Tamzin White, the Foyle MLA said:
“Last week along with teenager Tamzin White I challenged the Health Minister to deliver more addiction and detox services for Derry.
“The clear demand for services was reinforced by a recent petition which was signed by thousands of people across the city.
“I want to commend Tamzin for her courage and her inspiring campaign for increased support for people battling addiction following the tragic death of her mum in January this year.
“There is great work being carried out in the city by the Northlands Centre and others, but now we need to see more investment to meet increasing demand. People need this vital support.”
