Mayor Tierney invited Year 8 pupils from St Brigid’s College, Carnhill to the Mayor’s Parlour for a hard-hitting question and answer session that covered a range of topics from his biggest achievements as Mayor to how many famous people he has met.
“The young people then received a tour of the Guildhall taking in the Council chamber and the Whittaker Suite along the way.
Mayor Tierney said it was a pleasure to meet the local students.
“ASPIRE is a fantastic project being delivered in St Brigid’s with the Greater Shantallow Area Partnership and a range of partners.
“I was delighted to welcome so many enthusiastic and inquisitive young students to the Guildhall and to hear directly from them about what they wanted to know. There were definitely a few unexpected questions in the mix!
