THE Department of Health has reported a further 82 Coronavirus cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a fall of 14 on figures given on Friday for Thursday.
There has been one further death from the virus with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,150.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 616 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 20 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area, down eight on figures released last Friday.
Over the past seven days there have been a further 151 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 12,561 positive cases within the council boundary – the fourth highest among all 11 councils in the North.
The rate of infection within the Derry and Strabane council area is now at 100.2 cases per 100,000, the highest in the North of Ireland.
The Department has recorded a total of 136 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all councils here.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is down to 99 per cent.
There are currently 32 patients in hospital with Coronavirus.
Two patients are being treated in intensive care with two patients on ventilators.
Three care homes are now dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 655 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
