Anderson: Further progresss made towards workers’ rights

SINN Féin’s Martina Anderson has said further progress has been made towards workers’ rights as her Work – Life Balance bill has been sent to the Assembly Speaker’s office.

Said the Foyle MLA: “Further progress towards workers’ rights has been made as my Work – Life Balance bill has now been sent to the Assembly Speaker’s office to proceed through the legislative process.

“This bill, if passed, would guarantee seven days paid leave for carers for all workers, allow more flexible working, and give workers the right to disconnect.

“These moves are necessary to strengthen and protect workers’ rights.

“I look forward to the advances in workers’ rights this bill would bring.”
