The commitment to introduce proposals for the expansion of Magee campus 2to 10,000 students was secured by the SDLP in the New Decade, New Approach agreement.
“It is unacceptable that the First Ministers have still not produced any proposals for the expansion of Magee. The SDLP secured this commitment in NDNA including a resource package from the British Government,” said Cllr Farrell.
“Last week Sinn Féin was threatening to collapse government over NDNA commitments but there was not one word from them about the commitments to this city.
“The people of Derry deserve better.
“The expansion of Magee to 10,000 students is critical to the growth of our city.
“It must be delivered.”
