THE Department of Health has reported a further 417 Coronavirus cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a fall of three on figures given yesterday for Sunday.
There has been no further deaths from the virus with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,156.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 2,883 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 73 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area, that is a fall of nine on figures given yesterday for Sunday.
Over the past seven days there have been a further 552 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
This means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 14,163 positive cases within the council boundary – the third highest among all 11 councils in the North.
The rate of infection within the Derry and Strabane Council area has risen to 364.9 cases per 100,000, the highest of any council in the North of Ireland.
The Department has to date recorded a total of 136 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all councils here.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now up to 104 per cent.
There are currently 37 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, a rise of five on the previous 24 hours.
There are five patients being treated in intensive care with one patient on a ventilator.
Five care homes are now dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 660 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
