Said the Foyle MLA: “From engaging with constituents in Prehen, it was clear that there was a significant demand for gas connection in their area and I had been chasing this up directly with Firmus.
“I am therefore delighted to have now received confirmation that they plan to commence construction work in this area at the end of this summer, with the aim of having gas live for residents by early 2022.
“This move will provide consumers with greater choice and more flexibility.
“Gas is often a more affordable option and cleaner alternative to oil and coal, benefitting residents and the environment alike.”
