The draw was made this evening live on the Game On programme on RTE 2fm.
The game is one of two all-Premier Division derbies in the last 16 with Bohemians paired with Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers.
At the weekend, Derry beat Drogheda Utd 4-2 in penalties after the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
On Saturday, Sean Boyd and Barry McNamee netted either side of an own goal as Harps defeated FAI Junior Cup holders Fairview Rangers.
Harps needed extra time to see off the Limerick outfit.
Ollie Horgan’s men have been on a disappointing run of results with Waterford, occupying the play-off spot, now just a point behind Harps, the eighth-placed team.
The second round ties are scheduled for the weekend ending Sunday, August 29th.
