Tamzin White’s mother, Louise, tradically died on January 16 at the age of 40 with alcohol addiction
The rally will take place at Guildhall Square at 2pm.
Among the speakers will be local teenager Tamzin White who has been spearheading the campaign since the death of her mother mother Louise earlier this year.
Tamzin’s mother and other members of her family suffered from addiction.
Other speakers at the rally will be Mayor of Derry and Strabane Council, Alderman Graham Warke and local politicians Karen Mullan and Emmet Doyle.
Mayor Warke tweeted: “Looking forward to speaking at this event today in support of the campaign for a detox centre in the city
“If you are attending please wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.”
