THE Department of Health has announced a further 1,485 Coronavirus cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
That’s a fall of 127 cases on figures given yesterday for Friday.
There has been 11 further deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,302.
At the weekend and on bank holidays, the Department of Health does not update its online Coronavirus dashboard.
In a bid to drive down hospital admissions, health chiefs launched the ‘Big Jab’ this weekend.
It ends at 7 pm this evening, Sunday, August 22.
To date, 2,408,221 vaccines have been administered in total across the North of Ireland.
The Western Trust say that on Saturday, its staff administered 2,085 vaccinations across its three sites including the Foyle Arena in Derry, 1,520 of which were first doses.
