DETECTIVES investigating an armed robbery at commercial premises in Co Derry on Saturday, September 18, have charged a man.
The 26-year-old man has been charged with robbery and possessing an article or blade in a public place.
He is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, September 20, for a first remand hearing.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Police said the man entered the shop on Anderson Avenue in Limavady before 6.25 pm.
They said he was armed with a knife and made off with a sum of money.
No one was injured during the incident.
