DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team probing the murder of 29 year old journalist Lyra McKee, who was shot dead by terrorists in Derry on Thursday, April 18, 2019 have charged two men with a number of offences.
The pair, aged 24 and 29, have been charged with riot and throwing petrol bombs.
They are expected to appear before Derry Magistrates Court via video link tomorrow morning, Friday, September, for a first remand hearing
A 55 year old man arrested earlier today has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
Threee men have already been charged with the author’s murder.
Two men have also been charged with rioting on the same night in Creggan’s Fanad Drive.
The New IRA later claimed responsibility for Lyra’s horrific murder.
