Man arrested in Derry over Lyra McKee murder

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of journalist Lyra McKee on Thursday, April 18, 2019 in Derry have arrested a 63 year old man.

The man was arrested in the Derry area this morning under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act.

He has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station in Belfast where he will be interviewed.

Three men have already been charged with Ms McKee’s murder.= by the New IRA.

She was shot dead in Creggan’s Fanad Drive while observing rioting.

A number of other men have been charged with rioting on the night of her brutal murder.
