IF your child is aged 7-12 years old and has an interest in learning to play a musical instrument, the Apex Music Bursary could support their tuition in the harp over the coming year.
The Apex Music Bursary will provide harp lessons for one academic year at St Columb’s School of Music in Derry~Londonderry; enabling a young person who would not have had a chance to take up musical tuition.
Donna Matthewson, Apex Director of Housing, explains: “Our bursary programme is a means to kick start a student’s career in music, giving them the resources and tuition required for them to take up a musical instrument, and continue to learn music after their bursary ends.
“The bursary will support the provision of 34 lessons and any music books or sheet music needed; and will come to an end at the End of Year Concert where the student will perform in front of their peers, tutors, family and sponsors.”
