LAST Thursday, photographers from Strabane Camera Club (Photographic Society) came together to launch their returning exhibition at the Alley Theatre after nearly two years.
Visitors enjoyed viewing a stunning range of images from photographers not only from Strabane, but from Omagh, Derry and Donegal.
Strabane Camera Club is one of the North of Ireland’s leading and biggest camera clubs and within this new exhibition it features an outstanding selection of images from around the whole of Ireland.
The club meet regularly and have speakers, camera knowledge sessions, sessions on how to benefit from the various photo manipulation programs, day trips and, of course, competitions, in which the club are celebrating following their recent success at the Northwest Interclub Photography Competition.
This exhibition showcases some of the best highlights of images their club members have captured most recently. Within this exhibition expect to see landscape photos, portraits, street photography, family portraits and wildlife images.
Said James Devlin: “Despite a very difficult period we are delighted that the club continues to be very active. Once again, many thanks to The Alley Theatre for hosting our exhibition.
“We are delighted to be back and thrilled that the general public can once again view photography from the outstanding photographers in our local area.
“We are extremely proud with our success at the North West Interclub Photography Competition and hope you will come along to the Alley to view our current exhibition which is showing until 19th November.
“All images displayed are available for sale as prints and are £10 each. Proceeds will go towards The Foyle Hospice.”
The Alley Theatre is open Monday – Friday 10am – 4.30pm.
