Said Councillor Reilly: “I appreciate the efforts of local Department for Infrastructure staff who have commenced repairs to the vehicle restraint system on the Foyle Bridge.
“These railings are critical to road safety and I had reported the mangled railings some weeks ago.
“I understand that the new railings needed to be specifically commissioned and a traffic management had to to be put in place.
“But I am glad to see these repairs completed to keep everyone safe.”
