DERRY City and Strabane District Council has announced that it has to close one of its play parks due to vandalism.
A council spokesperson said: “The playpark at Ballyarnett remains closed this morning for repairs following damage to play equipment last night.
“Just a reminder that Council play facilities are there for the enjoyment of everyone.
“Acts of vandalism are attacks on the whole community!
“We hope to reopen it as soon as possible.
“We apologie for any inconvenience caused.”
