POLICE in Derry say officers have disrupted the cultivation of a cannabis in the city.
One person has been arrested under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act and is being questioned at the PACE custody suite at Strand Road police station.
Police Derry City and Strabane say: “Today the local Tactical Support Group conducted a search on behalf of Foyleside & Moors Neighbourhood Policing Team following an investigation of cultivation of cannabis.
“A quantity of suspect herbal cannabis, 27 young cannabis plants and growing equipment was seized.
“One person is assisting police with their enquires.”
