Police seize £15k drugs stash in Derry

POLICE have hit another Derry drug dealer in his pocket after seizing a haul of herbal cannabis on Saturday.

A man has been arrested under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act for possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply.

Police Derry City and Strabane say: “Foyleside and The Moor Neighbourhood Team 1 conducted a search of a premises in the Derry area along with colleagues from Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Team 2.

“This resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £15000.

“Police have arrested one male who is currently helping us with our enquiries.”
