PSNI officers investigating a series of thefts from shops in Derry and Belfast have charged two men.
The men, aged 36 and 50 have been charged with theft offences.
They are due to appear before Derry Magistates’ Court and Lisburn Magistrates’ Court via videolink this morning.
As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges relate to reports of thefts including a theft from a shop in the Strand Road area of Derry on Monday, January 24th and the theft from a shop in the Newtownbreda Road area of Belfast on Wednesday, January 19th.
During both incidents it was reported large quantities of ink cartridges were taken.
A Police Interceptor team stopped a vehicle in the Belfast area on Wednesday afternoon (January 26th) and arrested the two men over the thefts.
