Derry people are being asked to donate essential items and toiletries which will be shipped to those fleeing war-torn Ukraine.
The collection is being organised by kindhearted members of the Polish community in Letterkenny, Derry and Strabane.
“Fighting in Ukraine has already forced people to flee their homes. Families are in urgent need of emergency aid,” a spokesperson for the group said.
The Polish shop, ‘Basia’, in Strabane (beside Ulster Bank) is organising the campaign.
They are collecting essential items there until Friday, March 4.
Anyone who wants to contribute to the Letterkenny collection can contact Karolina on 00 353 86 079 9055.
