Suspicious object found in Derry security alert

POLICE are currently in attendance at a security alert in the Elaghmore Park area of Derry.

It follows the discovery of a suspicious object late on Friday night.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “A number of cordons are in place and motorists and pedestrians are being asked to avoid the area.

“There are no further details at present.”
