Sinn Féin’s Ciara Ferguson has said the massive economic potential of the North West will be the focus of a major conference being hosted by Sinn Féin in the city this week.

The conference will be held on Friday, April 8 from 10 am in Derry’s City Hotel.

The event, ‘The North West – New Economic Future’, will be an opportunity for local engagement with those leading positive change across Ireland.

Ciara Ferguson said: “We are delighted that the keynote speakers will include Sinn Féin Finance Minister Conor Murphy, our Finance spokesperson Pearse Doherty TD and Economy Spokesperson Dr. Caoimhe Archibald.

“The north west region has the fourth largest population on this island. There is massive economic potential here and many positive things are happening but there is still a huge amount of work to be done.

“Working together we can deliver better healthcare, more jobs and investment, and a brighter future for all our citizens.

“This event will be an opportunity to hear our vision for the economic future of the north west and to engage with those who are leading positive change across the island of Ireland.

“A wide range of businesses and organisations involved in economic development have been invited and if you would like to be involved, please email [email protected].”
