THE Department of Health has reported 14 further Covid-19-related deaths in the North of Ireland.
The DoH last reported figures on Thursday, April 14 and no statistics were released over the Easter holidays.
Deaths are measured by recording those who died within 28 days of receiving a positive result in a test for Coronavirus.
The DoH records that all 14 of these deaths happened outside the current reporting period.
The total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 in the North of Ireland recorded by the Department of Health since the start of the pandemic is at 3,391.
None of these latest deaths was recorded in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
Today’s data from the Department of Health shows there has been a further 2,695 over the Easter holidays in the North of Ireland.
It includes cases confirmed from samples taken in previous days, not necessarily just in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
As of today, the number of positive cases confirmed in the past seven days was 4,115.
The statistics show there has been a further 163 Covid-19 cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
Over the past seven days, there were 247 recorded cases in the Derry and Strabane Council area.
The infection rates within Derry and Strabane is the third lowest of all 11 councils in the North of Ireland with 163 cases per 100,000.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now at 102 per cent.
The Department of Health now records that 220 people (mostly in hospitals) have died from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane Council area.
There are currently 367 patients with Covid-19 in hospitals here.
There are five patients with Covid-19 being treated in intensive care units with one person on a ventilator.
There are 31 people being treated in Altnagelvin Hospital with Coronavirus and no one with Covid-19 is in intensive care.
The figures show that 10.58 per cent of beds in Altnagelvin Hospital are occupied by people with Coronavirus and it is running at 2.51 per cent over capacity for beds.
The Department of Health reports that 120 care homes in the North of Ireland are dealing with an outbreak of Coronavirus, with 1,450 closed cases of Covid-19 in care homes here.
In the Western Trust area, 26 of its 67 care homes are dealing with a Coronavirus outbreak.
A total of 3,775,878 vaccines have been administered to date across the North of Ireland as of Tuesday.
Of those figures, more than one million booster and third dose vaccinations have now been administered in the North of Ireland to date.
