Officers from Foyleside & The Moor City Centre Neighbourhood Team have charged a 34-year-old woman with offences to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday, October 20, for a first remand hearing.
The woman has been charged with two counts of theft, attempted theft, common assault and converting criminal property.
As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
It is understood the charges are in relation to incidents at commercial premises in the city centre yesterday, Wednesday, October 19, and follow-up searches when goods estimated to be worth several hundred pounds were recovered.
