A second woman has been arrested and released following a ‘savage’ attack on a man in Derry this week.
Detectives investigating an assault on a 35-year-old man in Carnhill in Derry on Monday night, 24th October, have arrested a 46-year-old woman on suspicion of offences, including grievous bodily harm with intent.
She has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
The investigation continues into the attack in which up to seven men reportedly attacked a man and left him requiring hospital treatment for injuries to his legs, shoulder and head.
The 26-year-old man arrested yesterday, Thursday 27th October, has also been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
A 60-year-old woman was also arrested on Wednesday and later released on bail.
Detectives continue to appeal for information about Monday night’s assault. The number to call with information is 101, quoting reference number 2026 of 24/10/22.
