A woman has died after a hit-and-run in Co Derry on Tuesday evening, December 6.
Police said a motorist called at about 7 pm concerned about the safety of a pedestrian in Dunhill Road between Coleraine and Limavady.
Officers closed the road and found the body of a woman who they believe was struck by a vehicle which then drove off.
Efforts to identify the vehicle involved were ongoing, detectives said.
The road has since reopened.
Det Insp Peter MacCionáoith: “We would ask anyone who was travelling on the Dunhill Road on Tuesday evening at around 7pm to review any dash-cam footage they may have captured and call us in CID Coleraine on 101 with any information they have.
“The reference number is 1653 06/12/22.”
