Police in Derry have recovered a large quantity of stolen items and made two arrests for theft and handling stolen property.
The items recovered included mens and ladies clothing, underwear, toiletries, three bottles of Grey Goose vodka, two bottles of champagne and two bottles of brandy.
Police Derry City and Strabane say: “On Saturday, Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team located a large quantity of stolen items during a search in the Waterside area.
“Two people are now in custody and thankfully all the property is fit for resale so can be returned to the various businesses.”
Police have been running ‘Operation Seasons Greetings’ which has been targeting individuals involved in the organised theft of items from local business premises.
