The marvellous nursing staff at Altnagelvin’s Maternity Unit proudly showing off baby Aoife

THE brilliant and dedicate nurses at Altnagelvin Hospital helped deliver little bundles of joy into the world on Christmas Day.

While we were all tucking into our Christmas turkey and trimmings, the maternity staff were on hand to make sure baby Aoife was delivered safety into the world.

Aoife McSorely was born at 1.17 am in Altnagelvin Hospital tipping the scales at an impressive 9lb 2oz.

Bouncing Aoife is picture here with the impressive Altnagelvin maternity staff.

Then baby Doherty was born at 10.35am in the hospital weighing in at 7lb 8oz.

Congratulations to the parents on their new babies this Christmas.

And a massive well done to the staff who gave up their Christmas Day to make sure mummies and their new bornes were safe and well looked after.
