A GoFundMe page has raised £4,500 for the heartbroken family of talented Derry lad Jack Edgar after his sad passing this week.
It has now raised more than twice as much as the original £2,000 goal to help the Edgar family with funeral and other unexpected expenses at this difficult time.
As of midday today, £4,534 has been raised so far.
Fund organiser Peter Roddy posted on the GoFundMe page: “Hi
“The Edgar family recently lost their eldest boy, Jack, in tragic circumstances.
“Their main source of income is from self employment.
“Things are going to be hard enough for them without the added financial pressures.
“Please donate, if you can.
“Thank you.”
And the people of Derry have responded to the appeal with people donating anything from £10 up to £150 towards the fund.
