Pulis: UDA flags in Derry a ‘disgrace’

People Before Profit Waterside representative Davina Pulis

People Before Profit candidate for the Waterside, Davina Pulis, has said that the placing of UDA flags across Clooney and Lincoln Courts is disgraceful.

“The celebration of sectarian murderers is not anyway representative of the community that lives in this area,” said Ms Pulis.

“All across the Waterside workers of all backgrounds have stood on picket lines fighting for a better deal for everyone, they are a true representation of that area. ”

Ms Pulis went on to call out the DUP claiming they were exasperating sectarian tensions for their own political ends;

“I have seen little or no condemnation of these flags from DUP politicians.

“The DUP have no interest in representing workers concerns in the Waterside they just want to exploit fear and create tensions.

“People Before Profit will fight tooth and nail to improve the lives of every person in the Waterside.”
