Mr Eastwood said workers in the North are being treated like second class service providers by the British Government and it cannot continue.
Said the Foyle MP: “Health workers in the North have been treated like second class service providers by the British Government and it cannot continue.
“It is insulting to their professionalism and the service they provide day in, day out that they still have not been provided with an appropriate pay offer while their colleagues in England, Scotland and Wales currently consider their offers.
“I have written to the Secretary of State and the SDLP will be seeing an urgent meeting with the Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health to address this situation immediately.
“A broken government and failing politics is delivering worse and worse outcomes for workers across our society.
“It’s time to think differently about how we arrange health services and provide better outcomes for workers across our island. That’s the mission the SDLP is engaged in.”
