Bishop Street courthouse in Derry
He is due to appear before Derry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 24, for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charge follows the man’s arrest in the city on Sunday, April 30, following a report made to police.
