Bishop Street courthouse in Derry
The man has been charged with the offence ‘Failing to Notify Police of Information Required under the Counter Terrorism Act 2008’.
He is due to appear before Bishop Street Courthouse on Wednesday, June 7 for a first remand hearing.
As is normal procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charge follows the man’s arrest in Derry earlier today, Tuesday, May 16, by Terrorism Investigation Unit detectives.
