A man in his 30s has suffered a fractured skull after being viciously attacked in Co Derry.
It was reported three men approached the victim shortly after midnight on Sunday, June 11 in the Maple Drive area of Coleraine.
One of the assailants struck the man who then lost consciousness.
The victim was taken to hospital after suffering two fractures to his skull, a broken nose and cuts requiring nine stitches.
Police are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information contact them on the 101 number quoting reference number 870 12/06/23 or at Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Detectives are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have captured dashcam or CCTV footage which could assist with their inquiries.
