Daniel Smyth who tragically died on holiday in Bulgaria on Sunday, June 18
The 19-year-old, from Coleraine, passed away on Sunday, June 18, following a tragic accident in his hotel bathroom in Bulgaria.
His remains were brought home by the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
A GoFundMe page set up in the wake of his death raised £17,225 from generous donations.
A family notice reads: “SMYTH Daniel Martin – 18th June 2023 (suddenly) Daniel Martin, 2 Covehill Park, Coleraine.
“Dearly loved son of Martin and Jema, loving brother of Dylan and Hollie, much loved grandson of Willie and the late Sheila and Trevor and Heather McAuley and a much loved nephew, cousin and friend.
“Service in Church Of Christ, Artillery Road, Coleraine on Saturday at 1.00pm followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery.
“House strictly private. Family and friends welcome at Church Of Christ on Friday between 12.00noon and 8.00pm.
“Family flowers only please Donations in lieu if desired for Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund c/o Mrs Mona Murdock. 31, Bushmills Road Coleraine.
“Deeply regretted by his loving family and entire family circle.”
