Police are investigating an assault on two men during a street in Derry.
Police Derry City and Strabane say: “We’re appealing for witnesses to an incident in the city which resulted in two men sustaining injuries.
“On Saturday, May 13, a report was made of an ongoing fight involving a number of people on Rosemount Avenue, which occurred at around 12.45am.
“One man sustained an injury to his ear which required hospital treatment, while another man sustained a serious injury to his leg which required surgery.
“We’ve made a number of enquiries and, as they continue, we’re appealing to anyone who was in the area, to anyone who saw what happened, and who hasn’t spoken with police to get in touch with us.
“We’re also appealing to anyone who may have captured footage of what happened to call 101, quoting reference 77 of 13/05/23.
