He was arrested in the Strabane area under section 41 the Terrorism Act and has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
The investigation into this attack, which took place on the night of Thursday, November 17, 2022, continues.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 101.
