Unions have said that bus and rail services across the North of Ireland will halt for a day due to a 24-hour strike in the run up to Christmas.
The strike has been called from Friday, December 1, at one minute pas midnight.
Unions Unite, GMB and SIPTU voted to in favour of the strike over a possible pay-freeze for Translink workers.
One union leader said members had been left with no alternative but to strike due to attempts to “instigate a pay freeze”.
General Secretary of Unite Sharon Graham called on the North’s Secretary of State Chris Heaton-Harris to “properly fund public transport in order to avoid what will be debilitating and disruptive strikes”.
All three public transport unions said members have also agreed to industrial action short of strike.
The unions say that if Translink bosses don’t return to the negotiating table further industrial will be taken.
