The Maldron Hotel in Derry says it is deeply saddened at the passing of one of its long standing members of staff, Tommy Barbour.
Mr Barbour, of Anderson Crescent in the city, sadly passed away on Sunday, January 14.
In a message on its Facebook page, the hotel says: “It is with a heavy heart that we are writing this post but one of our own from the Maldron Hotel Derry gained his angel wings, our Tommy Barbour 💔
“We are all devastated about this as Tommy has worked in the hotel for the last 14 years and we can all honestly say that the place will not be the same without him.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Isobel, Colleen and Caitlin and to all of Tommys extended family at this very sad time.
“Rest in Peace Tommy the legend Barbour.
“We will all miss you so much.”
Requiem Mass for Mr Barbour is taking place this morning at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road.
He will be laid to rest after Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
