Location: The No Barriers Foundation
Contract Type: 1 year Full-time Fixed Term (potential for extension/permanent contract depending on performance and funding )

Job Purpose:
To assist physiotherapists in providing rehabilitation services to patients and to design and implement physical activity programs for individuals or groups, ensuring they achieve their therapeutic and fitness goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Patient Care:
– Help patients perform exercises as directed by the physiotherapist.
– Set up equipment and assist in therapeutic procedures as instructed.
– Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report progress to the physiotherapist.
2. Physical Activity Program Design:
– Assess individual or group needs to develop tailored exercise programs.
– Design safe and effective physical activity plans based on individual goals, medical history, and assessment outcomes.
– Modify exercise programs as required to accommodate patient progress or changes in health status.
3. Instruction and Training:
– Conduct group fitness classes or individual training sessions.
– Provide clear instructions on exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety.
– Motivate and encourage patients or clients to achieve their fitness and rehabilitation goals.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
– Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
– Communicate effectively with physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, and other team members regarding patient status and progress.
– Prepare regular reports or updates as required by the supervising physiotherapist or manager.
5. Equipment Management:
– Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and in good working condition.
– Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment used in therapy sessions or physical activity programs.
6. Continuing Education:
– Stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in physiotherapy and physical activity training.
– Attend workshops, seminars, or training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Certification in Physical Activity Training or relevant fitness certification.
– Previous experience working in a physiotherapy clinic, rehabilitation centre, or fitness facility is preferred.
– Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– CPR and First Aid certification may be required

Salary and Benefits:
Salary: 31k-35k depending on experience and qualifications
