A strong wind warning has been issued for today, Wednesday January 31, across parts of Northern Ireland.
The yellow level warning, which is in place from 9 am to 5 pm, covers counties Derry and Antrim.
Strong and blustery south-westerly winds will quickly spread southwards, reaching Northern Ireland by late morning or early afternoon.
Gusts of 45mph to 55mph are expected , with hills and coastal areas likely to see gusts up to 65mph.
Late Wednesday morning and early afternoon will bring showers, which will be heavy at times before winds start to ease from the north later.
Some delays to travel are likely and damage to trees is also possible.
There may be a temporary loss of power in some areas, and coastal routes could be affected by spray and large waves.
Met Eireann has also issued a yellow level warning for strong winds in counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo.
The storm has been named Storm Ingunn by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.
