Two charged with brutal stab murder of Blake Newland

Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team, investigating the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland in Limavady on Friday, February 2, have charged two men aged 27 and 29 with murder.

Detectives have also charged two 16-year-old boys with grievous bodily harm with intent.

All four are expected to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday, February 6, for a first remand hearing.

As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

A fifth man remains in police custody at this time.

A 29-year-old man has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
