Donegal Youth Service in partnership with South West College is hiring Cross Border, Cross Community Youth Workers as part of the SEUPB Peace Plus Programme ‘Youthscape Plus’:
Youthscape Team Lead Youth Worker (1 position) – The Youthscape Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the team with regards to supporting Youth Work staff in the co-design and co-delivery of all the Personal Development, Citizenship & Good Relations elements of the programme. The Team Lead will assist in the recruitment of Youthscape Plus Programme participants utilising a detached youth work model. The post holder will liaise very closely with the project Youth Workers to ensure successful outcomes of all project participants. The team Lead will be responsible for reporting.
Youthscape Programme Youth Worker (4 positions) –The Youth Workers will be responsible for the recruitment of Youthscape Plus Programme participants utilising a detached youth work model. The Youthscape Plus Youth Workers will be responsible for the co-design and co-delivery of all the Personal Development, Citizenship & Good Relations elements of the programme. These individuals will also be responsible for providing 1:1 support to young people for the duration of their participation on the Programme and their transition. They will be trained youth work professionals.
The successful candidates will have the drive, ambition, ability and strategic vision to add value to this dynamic organisation. Garda vetting will apply. The work may involve evening and weekend work.
Applicants must possess a 3rd Level education degree standard or equivalent in a relevant discipline and a minimum of three years’ community youth work experience in the last 5 years Or a minimum of 3 years’ full-time experience in Youth Work or Community development in the last 8yrs.
