Police in Derry investigating reports of overnight burglaries in the greater Strathfoyle area have made an arrest.
In the reports made to police to date, two vehicles were reported as having been taken, as well as a bicycle while other vehicles are reported to have been entered and rummaged through.
Police Derry City and Strabane say: “A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary in the area this morning, Tuesday 21st February, and he remains in custody at this time.
Police want to thank the members of the public who have assisted with their enquiries and appeal to anyone who has discovered that something similar has happened to their home or vehicle to get in touch.
Inspector Spence from Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team added: “We’re also asking residents in the greater Strathfoyle area with dashcam/CCTV or doorbell cameras to check their footage for any suspicious activity in the area overnight and call 101 with information, quoting reference 288 of 21/02/24.”
