The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council will host a special Spring Tea Dance in Aghyaran to raise much-needed funds for her chosen charities.
The Mayor’s Spring Tea Dance will take place on Tuesday 23rd April from 2pm until 4pm in St Davog’s GAC, Aghyaran, Castlederg.
Guests will be treated to an afternoon of live music from local musicians, Hugh P & Maria Doherty, as well as light refreshments and tea or coffee.
Mayor Patirica Logue said she was delighted to bring her Spring Tea Dance to Aghyaran and encouraged all those interested to come along for an afternoon of good craic.
“I can’t wait to bring my Spring Tea Dance out into the rural district and visit the lovely area of Aghyaran. The charity Tea Dances offer a fantastic opportunity to get out and about in the community, have a hot cuppa and enjoy some great live music.
“I’d love to see everyone come out and enjoy a great afternoon of fun, while fundraising for my two chosen charities. Get your dancing shoes on and come along for a lovely afternoon.”
While the Tea Dances remain a free event, donations to the Mayor’s charities are welcome. Mayor Logue is committed to raising much-needed funds for the Foyle Hospice and The Ryan McBride Foundation while she is in office.
Foyle Hospice provides ongoing palliative care services for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses while supporting their families and loved ones across the Western Health and Social Trust area in Northern Ireland. Their commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families.
The Ryan McBride Foundation aims to help young people realise their full potential while supporting, assisting and inspiring young players to achieve what Ryan achieved throughout his sporting career.
The event is ticket only and anyone wishing to attend should contact Gerry 07864929344 or Caroline 07706682487 or email [email protected] or [email protected]
