Police want to speak to this man over the vicious assault on a Derry photograher
The 21-year-old victim, local photographer Aodhan Roberts, was left with serious facial injuries after being attacked on Foyle Street in the early hours of Sunday, 5th November.
The assailant ran from the area.
Police have revealed that they believe the individual pictured in newly released CCTV footage may be able to provide valuable information about the incident.
“We believe the individual pictured may be able to assist us with our enquiries and are asking them or anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact us on 101, quoting ref 180 of 05.11.23,” the appeal said.
Following the attack, Aodhan took to social media to reveal that e had been the victim of an unprovoked assault.
Aodhan posted: “On Sunday (November 5) I spent 7 hours in A&E after being seriously assaulted in Foyle Street, #Derry.
“The attack was unprovoked, unexpected and totally random.

Aodhan Roberts posted pictures on social media of the horrific injuries he received during ‘nasty assault’ in Derry last November
“I have suffered several injuries as a result. I will be taking a break from everything to try to physically and mentally recover.
“I want to note that I was not working when this happened. Now I’m just hoping for justice.”
Aodhan has returned to work with the Belfast Telegraph but he still suffers from the assault.
In a tweet last month, he said: “I have still not recovered from all my injuries.”
